Due to planned growth my client is looking to strengthen its sales force with the key appointment of an individual to cover the North of England
Working in a fast moving events and exhibition environment, the role requires the ability to identify win and develop new clients on a consistent basis. A start up role beginning from scratch will challenge your business development and organisational skills.
You will be an experienced, enthusiastic sales professional with strong and proven background of developing new business in a competitive and fast moving business to business environment.
You will be confident in sourcing new leads and converting such into sales and further developing the new account as well as developing new customer relationships. You will have time management experience within a sales environment including effective planning of customer visits and presentations. The ability to win new business and further develop the potential is essential.
Whilst the candidate will have existing new business development experience, the company already has a significant pipeline of sales prospects, which the successful candidate will be expected to convert and build relationships with. You will be comfortable discussing all aspects pricing, product quality and delivery possibilities with clients and maintaining a flexible approach to tailor make solutions for individual clients.
About You:
- A working knowledge of flooring and decorative products ideal but not essential
- Proven experience of new business development within a sales environment
- Good negotiating, influencing and communication skills
- Creative in overcoming objections and problem solving
- Confident in making presentations and producing written reports and maintaining a CRM database
- Quality focused and commercially minded
- Work on own initiative, is flexible, positive and confident
- IT literate - proficient with Word, Excel, and ideally Vtiger
- Possess a clean and valid UK Full driving licence
Ideally You Will Have The Following Skills:
- Collaborative in approach, a team player, end goal focused, persistent, ability to work towards longer term objectives, strong verbal ability, able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, organised, self motivated, numerate and analytical, ability to work autonomously and in team environment.
